This was a mould job before it was a painting job. The ceiling and the wall heads had gone black with it, in a flat that stayed lived-in throughout, so the affected surfaces were treated before anything was painted over them and the room’s contents were sheeted and worked around rather than cleared out.
Painting over mould buys a few months. Treating it first is the whole difference.
