What paint brand do you use, and can I choose the colour?
Yes — just let us know your preferred paint supplier. If you don't have one, we use Nippon Paint by default.
Can I supply the paint and have WX Creations provide the labour?
We don't recommend this. Most homeowners aren't sure how much paint to buy, which can delay the job and often ends up costing more. Leaving the materials to us keeps things smooth and cost-effective.
How long does it take to paint my unit?
A normal HDB flat takes up to 4 working days maximum, and we'll confirm exactly once we've assessed your unit on site. For private properties, we'll advise after a site inspection.
Do I have to pay for the site visit?
Nope — we offer a complimentary site visit and a no-obligation quotation for your unit.
When should I consider a new paint job?
Some tell-tale signs include:

How long does a new coat of paint last?
A newly painted home lasts on average 2–3 years for interior, and 3–5 years for exterior.
Will my floors be affected by the paint job?
No — we apply surface protection to your unit before we start painting, so your floors stay protected throughout.
How do I get rid of mould?
Household cleaning products that kill mould will help, but the most important thing is keeping the bathroom dry and clean. Proper ventilation — along with appliances like a ventilation fan or dehumidifier — helps too.
I recently painted but mould started appearing again — what could be the cause?
High humidity and poor ventilation encourage mould growth. We recommend a fresh coat of paint after mould treatment, along with some household appliances to help. Other causes include:
• Water seepage in the walls or ceiling
• Mould entering from open windows, corridors or doorways
• Mould brought in on clothes, pets, bags or belongings
Mould thrives in damp, humid areas.
Can I paint my house without a primer?
We can only advise further after a thorough inspection of your unit.
What is the purpose of a primer?
Primer is the most important first step before any painting. It acts as an undercoat that helps the paint adhere better to the surface. Other benefits include:
• Masking stains from smoke or water damage
• Adding a protective layer between your wall and the fresh paint to increase durability
• Helping prevent issues like flaking and peeling
Is fixing hairline cracks included in the package?
Yes — fixing hairline cracks is included. We'll seal up all hairline cracks at no cost.
