The making-good came first here. Patches around the window heads and along the skirting line were filled and skimmed flat before any colour went on, which is why the finished walls read even rather than showing every old repair once daylight crosses them.
One room started out a strong yellow and came back in a soft neutral. The furniture stayed where it was, under sheeting, while each room was finished in turn.
